(Johnny Cash’s Mother’s Recipe)

1 1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 cup crushed pineapple
3 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
1 unbaked pie shell

Beat all ingredients together.
Pour into pie shell.
Bake 50 minutes at 350 deg F until center is set and brown.

Nov. 11th Veteran’s Day Parade Down Spring Street to The Pied Piper Parade rolls @ 10:00AM. Celebration continues after parade @ Pied Piper.
Nov. 12th Flag Run & Relay Chamber of Commerce 1:00PM start.
Nov. 13th Hamburger Cook-off 11:00AM-1:30PM Try some of the best hamburgers in Eureka Springs for $5 donation. Cast your ballot for your favorite. Awards @ 2:00PM

Nov 11-12
Five & Dime Drama Series
World premiers of 6 short plays by regional playwrights featuring a cast of 20. Each distinctively different play offers thought-provoking entertainment, exploring contemporary themes with insight, humor and artistry. These performances are recommended for mature audiences.
Main Stage Creative Community Center @ 67 No. Main Street will host these two special performances in cooperation with the City of Eureka Springs on Nov. 11 @ 8:00PM and on Nov. 12th @ 2:00PM.
FREE parking will be available in the Basin Park Hotel parking lot next to Main Stage.

Porche Parade
Porche parade through downtown and the Historic District at 1:00 pm.

Nov 17-18
Talent on Parade
Dance Spectacular for some of the most talented girls of all ages in our region. Come and be inspired by these young ladies during their competitions, convention and pageant. You will truly be amazed by the quality of talent in this event held in our own Auditorium.

Antique Festival of the Ozarks
Quality antiques brought by fine dealers from across the midwest at the Inn of the Ozarks.

Don Gammie Turkey Trot
The 8th annual Don Gammie Turkey Trot is a 5k trail run and a 1 mile fun run/walk that is held in Lake Leatherwood City Park on Thanksgiving morning. All of the funds raised by this event go to the Grassy Knob Volunteer Fire Department!

Nov 24-26
Great Ozarkan Beard Off
Competitions will be held at incredible locations in Historic Downtown Eureka Springs. STOP SHAVING NOVEMBER 1st! Track your progress… have your photo taken at Chelsea’s on November 1st and show that you are the fastest beard grower in the US (or in town anyway).
This is a fundraiser for the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation.
