Fall in Eureka Springs, Arkansas
October is our busiest month at our bed and breakfast in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. And it’s no wonder why – the leaves are changing, the air is cool and crisp and there’s plenty of things going on. Every weekend in October seems to be filled with so many events that it’s hard to pick a favorite. Just some of the events in October are the Corvette weekend, War Eagle Craft Fair, Minis in the Ozarks, Eagle Watch and Fall Foliage tours on Beaver lake, Haunted Hay Rides, Voices from the Silent City, the Intrigue Theater Ghosts Have Answers, the Mad Hatter’s Ball and so much more.
We love decorating for fall with the orange leaves, pumpkins, cornstalks and scarecrows. This year, we let guests judge from the jack-o-lanterns to pick their favorite.
Weekends are pretty full, but we still have some weekday vacancies and we’d love to have you stay with us at our Eureka Springs Bed and Breakfast and enjoy the scenery that only comes around once a year.
Bikes, Blues and BBQ and Bed and Breakfast
It’s time for Bikes, Blues and Bar-B-Que again. Join in the biggest biker rally in our area September 28 through October 1. Join hundreds of thousands of bikers in Northwest Arkansas for one of the top motorcycle events in the country. Billed as being bigger and better than last year with a wider variety of music, more venues, more attractions, and more of everything that you’ve come to expect.
Our Eureka Springs B&B is just a short ride away from Fayetteville and would make a terrific base for enjoying all the Rally has to offer, yet being able get away from the noise at night. Relax and enjoy a full breakfast in your room at your chosen time without having to wait and fight for a seat at a restaurant.
Of course, the best part of this rally is the fabulous roads of Northwest Arkansas. Head East from Fayetteville and you’ll encounter some of the best riding anywhere. Enjoy scenic views, twisting “blue highways”, and picturesque Ozark towns with the friendliest people you’ll ever meet.
Banjo Rally International – Eureka Springs, AR
Come enjoy Banjo Rally International in beautiful Eureka Springs Arkansas, August 31st through September 3rd, 2011. This rally has been held annually in Eureka Springs since 1975. Attendees come from all over the US and several other countries. Billed as a “world class celebration of Razzle-Dazzle Jazz Banjos,” the Eureka Springs Banjo Rally will include Ragtime, Dixieland, Tin Pan Alley, Broadway tunes and old standards musical styles.
There will be performance opportunities for players at local venues, institutions and other facilities; evening shows at the Best Western Convention Center and “jam sessions” at all hours of the day and night. A vendor room offering opportunity to see and acquire quality instruments, instrument accessories, sheet music, instruction materials and access instrument maintenance services and advice from experienced luthiers and players. Public evening shows are held on Friday and Saturday nights with quality performers and very reasonable admission prices. The public shows begin at 7:00 pm and last until they are over. After the evening shows, “jam sessions” usually breakout in every nook and cranny of the convention center and evening show attendees are welcome to linger and enjoy these sessions too.
A Better Way To Stay In Eureka Springs, AR
According to a study by Professional Association of Innkeepers International (PAII) and TripAdvisor in 2009, the main reason travelers DON’T choose B&Bs is because the B&B option doesn’t cross their minds. Additionally, there are long-perpetuated myths about B&B’s that keep people away.
Are you shying away from staying at a B&B because you’re not sure
what to expect? Younger travelers think B&Bs are for “oldies” and others believe the B in B&B stands for boutique or expensive.
Here’s some myth’s about B&B’s:
“But I’ll have to eat with people I don’t know!”
We deliver a full, hot, 3-course breakfast to your room each morning at your chosen time. We think sharing breakfast with your loved one is a special treat and should be private. You don’t even have to get dressed for breakfast, much less eat with strangers.
“I don’t want to share a bathroom!”
Every suite and cottage at Evening Shade Inn B&B has it’s own private bathroom, complete with a tub/shower combination. Each suite and cottage also has a two-person jacuzzi located outside the bathroom.
