The flowers are blooming and the grass is growing! Spring is definitely
here. Hummingbirds have returned and we've got all our feeders filled.
Don't miss the beautiful scenery and cool weather in Eureka this time
of year.
Blues Weekend is the last weekend of this month, so please don't wait
too late to call, especially if you want a specific suite or cottage.
We only have a few left.
During the entire month of May, Eureka Springs celebrates the art in
our lives…from painting and music to dancing and art-cars! Also we will
be having our Spring Art Contest, Yard Art Contest and TWO parades!
The month will be full of events for all ages. Hang out in Basin Park
Saturday and Sunday afternoons and be treated to free live music!

RECIPE
KAHLUA FUDGE BROWNIES
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
3 tablespoons Kahlua
1 1/4 cups sifted cake flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
Combine first 4 ingredients, stirring until blended. Combine flour,
baking powder, and cocoa; stir into sugar mixture. Fold in walnuts.
Spoon into a lightly greased 9-inch square pan. Bake at 325° for 30
minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean; cool
on a wire rack, and cut into squares. Makes 16 brownies. To reduce fat
and calories, substitute 1/2 cup egg substitute for eggs.

Spring Art – will be displayed at specially selected springs around
town. The winning piece will be on display in Basin Spring Park for
the month. The Winner will be announced Saturday May 3rd after the ARTrageous
Parade in Basin Spring Park.
Yard Art – on display in yards all over town…from the silly to the serious,
it’s fun to drive around and see the creations! The Winners will be
announced Saturday May 3rd after the ARTrageous Parade in Basin Spring
Park.
Music in the Park – Every Saturday and Sunday beginning around noon,
live music & entertainment in Basin Spring Park. (Performers TBA)
Gallery Stroll – Every Saturday (except the last) from 6:00pm to 9:00pm
the Galleries around town open their doors and honor one of their artists.
Snacks and refreshments are provided for the public as they view the
art.

has never been, brought it to millions who have never heard it before,
and elevated it to a place of equal billing, appreciation and respect
