We've starting mowing, raking and getting the grounds in shape for the
season. We've been getting a lot of rain so things are really blooming.
Our flowering pears, red buds and dogwoods are really beautiful. Spring
is really going to be gorgeous this year.
April weekends are really filling up, so please don't wait too late
to call, especially if you want a specific suite or cottage. The Music
Shows and restaurants are open. The Passion Play reopens May 2nd.
During the entire month of May, Eureka Springs celebrates the art in
our lives…from painting and music to dancing and art-cars! Also we will
be having our Spring Art Contest, Yard Art Contest and TWO parades!
The month will be full of events for all ages. Blues Weekend is the
last weekend in May!
If you are thinking of attending the Passion Play this year, here's
a special Passion Play offer. If you make your reservation before April
30th and attend the Play anytime during May, June or July, the tickets
are HALF PRICE! Just let us know when you would like to attend and we'll
be glad to make the reservations for you.

RECIPE
Nutty Caramel Cookie Tart
INGREDIENTS:
1 roll (refrigerated sugar cookies
1/3 cup Dry Roasted Peanuts
1/3 cup Caramel Ice Cream Topping
1/4 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup peanut butter chips
1/4 cup white vanilla baking chips
DIRECTIONS:
1. Heat oven to 350°F. Press cookie dough evenly in bottom of ungreased
9-inch springform pan. (If dough is sticky, use floured fingers.) Bake
17 to 22 minutes or until light golden brown.
2. Meanwhile, place peanuts in resealable food-storage plastic bag;
seal bag. Crush peanuts with rolling pin or meat mallet; set aside.
3. In medium microwavable bowl, microwave caramel topping, peanut butter
and cinnamon uncovered on High 30 to 60 seconds or until hot and bubbly;
stir well. Drizzle mixture evenly over partially baked crust. Sprinkle
with peanut butter chips, vanilla baking chips and crushed peanuts.
4. Bake 12 to 18 minutes longer or until edges are golden brown. Cool
completely, about 1 hour 30 minutes.
5. Run sharp knife carefully around edge of tart to loosen; remove side
of pan. To serve, cut tart into wedges. Store tightly covered at room
temperature.

The tradition continues in Eureka Springs! The City's art galleries
are joining forces to stage a monthly "Celebration of the Art of Eureka."
From April to December, on the second Saturday of each month, galleries
on Spring Street and all around the town will open their doors from
6-9:00 pm. A colorful banner hanging outside each one will identify
galleries participating in this fabulous fun event.

The Carroll County Cruisers is happy to announce that we will be hosting
the 14th Annual Mustang Show and the 19th Annual Open Car Show on Saturday
April 19, 2008. It was earlier reported that the show would be an Open
Show only, but we have changed our mind after such a huge response from

Ozarks Chorale Spring Concert

>From its early beginnings of fewer than 30 voices, this year the 60-plus
voice Ozarks Chorale begins its work in September. The musical library
of the Chorale ranges from Classical works such as Handel's "Messiah"
with accompanying orchestra to Dave Brubeck's "Take Five" with Jazz
ensemble accompaniment. Romantic works such as Brahms "Liebeslieder
Waltzes" to gospel, pop, folk, musical theater and movie songs are Chorale
favorites. The Chorale boasts the ability to sing anything from Bach

Gallery Stroll – Every Saturday (except the last) from 6:00pm to 9:00pm
