About Your Innkeepers

Although Evening Shade Inn Bed and Breakfast has been operating in Eureka Springs,
Arkansas since 1992, Clark and Donna Hinson purchased the B&B in January 2006. We had both worked in the corporate world for years and moved from state to state following our jobs. The opportunity came for us to move closer to family and into a more relaxed atmosphere and fulfill a long-held dream of running a bed and breakfast. Donna's life-long hobby has been cooking and entertaining. She enjoys using her skills and creativity daily to make our breakfasts and evening desserts special. When she isn't in the kitchen, she can be found working to improve the decor of the guest rooms and lobby. Clark is the resident handyman and he knows his detailed attention to maintenance is appreciated by our guests. With over ten acres and five separate buildings to keep him busy, there is always work to be done.

Clark and Donna are avid motorcyclists and ride whenever possible. The Ozarks have a multitude of wonderful curvy roads perfect for riding and we haven't tried them all yet, but we are trying. We've enjoy taking day trips to discover interesting people and places in Arkansas and Missouri.

Now with more than a two years under our belt, we feel very fortunate to have found such a wonderful and unique bed and breakfast in Eureka Springs. We especially like that our guests have more privacy than most bed and breakfasts in Eureka because we don't live in the same building as the guest rooms. Our private honeymoon cottages and suites were built especially for guests so much attention was paid to guest privacy and convenience.
